This server will house a couple of specific projects, one of which will be a Web version of my long-unrealized APPROPRIATED TECHNOLOGY zine, only it will no longer be a zine (though I might make paper snapshots occasionally and those will act like a zine). I will also unfold some older projects (HOMOCORE, BOY WITH GUN, the HOW TO CONVERT YOUR CAR TO LPG, etc) as best I can and when I get time.
I'm also working on tuning content and presentation to fit my low-bandwidth net connection. Large, full-color pictures are great if you and your readers have T1 to the net, however most people I know have lousy modem connections. A not-very-secondary goal is to make cheap and effective net publication repeatable.
The stuff here (3 Jan 94) is the very first pass at things, likely I'll get the images to look better as I work at it. I want to make cheap and effective publishing repeatable for others too.
wps.com runs on some pretty low-end hardware and this Web content created with some pretty simple software, if you were curious.
