This is a scan of a color xerox of
a page from a christian picture book. Note the firm hand on the
back of the neck; the other hand down near the kid's butt; the boy
piously leaning *into* his task, and that oh so beautific smile on
His face...My friend P.PAN sent it to me. Here's the cogent part of his accompanying letter:
[...] I'm also enclosing a copy (again totally unaltered) of a page from a Young Catholoc Prayerbook called ``FRIENDS WITH GOD''. This illustration accompanies an informative text explaining the `act of contrition' ("O my God I am heartily sorry for having offended thee, and I detest all my sins..."). I find it particularly good fun considering recent displays of archaic Catholic righteousness, this gives us a clue to what they're really up to. Reprint at will. I did.[...] P.PAN
