There is absolutely no usefulness in mailing checks for tiny
amounts to anyone, especially zine editors. Very few ``zines''
are legal entities -- ``HOMOCORE'' and ``WORLD POWER SYSTEMS'' 
are not -- and hence cannot cash checks. I have to forge my name
on them, exposing me to risks of all sorts.

Banks profit from checks. Banks SUCK SHIT. Checks do not
``protect'' you -- that is an image put out by the stupid
mainstream capitalist ``the gov't is your protector'' scumbags.
Doubt everything! OK, so I could cash your check and rip you off.
What are you going to do -- sue me?! How does the check protect
you then! Banks charge you money to process checks. ``Don't send
cash in the mail'' simply means that if Post Office employees can
see it, they can steal it.

ALWAYS -- wrap your cash in a letter or dark paper. WITHIN YOUR
OWN COUNTRY -- Cash only, please. For, say, \$10 or more, checks
are OK, but please leave the ``TO'' part blank, so that the
person who actually does the work can get the money. OUTSIDE YOUR
COUNTRY -- use IRCs (ask at the P.O.) or International Money
Orders -- and again, leave the ``TO'' part blank.
