Been meaning to write you for months now. Oh well. I wuz wondering¨
where you were, I thought you'd be in S.F.~by now, but Deke saw you in¨
Olympia during the music thing. Are you gonna move here still? How's¨
Lane? I assume you're still living with her somewhere in Olympia (I¨
hope to fuck you haven't moved to Redmond!)

The `homo'-core stuff is getting a little strange around the edges.¨
Have you seen the Torontonian gang's output lately? BIMBOX etc? At¨
first I thought it was a joke, but it seems far sadder than that. They¨
started out with this ``hitlist'' stuff, like the anti-{\smc Queer¨
Nation} stuff, which was funny, cuz they {\it are} taking themselves a¨
bit seriously. But -- they never let up, and its gone beyond 
self-parody, and hell, they're doing exactly what they claim to hate¨
in {\smc Queer Nation} -- us/them good/bad lists, holders of truth,¨
etc. Not only that, but it's boring.

Now I have to admit that their condemning Burroughs and such¨
predisposes me against them, but I can take that into account. It¨
occurred to me just how {\it simplistic} their reading of his stuff¨
is! I mean, taking that ``we can replicate without women'' stuff out¨
of it's context, and literally. Sheesh, sounds like a buncha marxists¨
writing those interminable tracts. Why do fanatics all fall in the¨
same pattern?

(I get this feeling I'm on their shitlist too. I don't think it's ego¨
on my part (no comments please). I do tend towards the fuzzy¨
FSU\footnote*{Fuck Shit Up, ie.~punk ironic reversal.} methodology,¨
and the rest of my style and such is exactly what they've come to¨
hate.

The {\smc Bimbox} people and G.B.~Jones will be in town this week.¨
Maybe I'll drop in and say hi!

We had a real Riot a few days ago, maybe you heard. 4000 -- 5000¨
people, trashed both state buildings quite well, pretty much left¨
everything else alone. Even local media was nearly sympathetic. I¨
wasn't there. 

I had a new computer-type job, then quit less than a month later. I've¨
been trying to avoid the obvious for years now -- I just can't do that¨
shit anymore! I mean full time. Specific projects are OK. I hated it,¨
and I was completely miserable, and my roommates were gonna kill me.

So now I'm working as an electronic technician for a radio station,¨
{\smc KKSF}, where my friend Tim Pozar is chief engineer. Its only 16¨
hrs.~week, but that's barely enough, and I like the free time.

We are planning (long term) on moving to New Mexico. Las Vegas New¨
Mexico area possibly, 50 mi.~east of Santa Fe. I don't know\dots it's¨
pretty cool in Santa Fe. I'm real tired of the city in some ways. The¨
herd club mentality. But I absolutely refused to give up urban¨
features -- caf\'es, weird people, late-night access (even by¨
S.F.~standards), that sort of thing. Santa Fe has all that shit -- you¨
can go to a caf\'e for decent caffeine, then a fag club for a drink,¨
and buy hardcore records, all in the same day. Amazing.

A scouting trip is planned for Spring.

We just leased a brand fucken new Canon NP-2020 copier. A real copier.¨
Reduce/enlarge, etc. Does photos great. It's so fucking amazing having¨
immediate access, you end up doing things very differently\dots

Enclosed are two things, both of which have potential annoyance value¨
for you. Sorry! One is the latest from Todd Pollution-Circus. If you¨
remember, I foolishly wrote him back after all that nonsense started¨
during that gay-day parade. I cc'ed you a copy of the letter. (He is¨
completely unaware that I've sent you a copy, so no worry at all about¨
getting dragged into it.) I have not/will not write back this time.¨
It's far too obvious he's simply off the deep end. But anyways, here's¨
his latest. Him and Tom doing the old good cop/bad cop thing. 

OK, so that was hardly an annoyance. Oh well.

Now I've done this zine thing. It is a one-off. I made eight (8)¨
copies on the first run. I was later convinced by Greta et al to make¨
more. So to prevent it from getting too popular (right) I'm selling it¨
for \$3. Not to you of course. 

Now your picture is in it. I feel funny about this. I started this¨
thing way back in early summer, even before I had a theme or a title.¨
That came quite late in the process. So when I included your picture,¨
it was simply cuz you are my friend, and I liked the picture (I think¨
it's both funny and flattering at the same time). But then it turned¨
into {\smc Boy with Gun}, and it may appear I commodified you. That¨
{\smc absolutely} was not my intent. I still like the picture. If you¨
object, I'll remove it ASAP.
