Thank you for your interest in InfoServ.

Here's some information on our service.

Please note that originally InfoServ was developed to support users
with some experience and knowledge of PC BBS systems, file xfer, and
familiarity with Internet/Usenet/Netnews.

We are currently working to take the system to new levels of friendliness
to help novices take advantage of our service. If you need more help, or
have addtional questions, please send email. Also, please send comments
on how to improve the interface.

Thanks,

postmaster@infoserv.com

AT LAST! An Internet/Email/Netnews service especially for small systems* !
  --------------------------------------------------------------------------

InfoServ Connections provides network services especially designed to
support the needs of end users with small systems* such as DOS, MAC, and
Unix/386. Our service features hassle free connections - we do all the
administrative drudge; you enjoy pure Netnews and Email without the pain.

InfoServ has developed many special support functions that make living
with Netnews/Email as simple as a phone call.

An InfoServ subscription features the following:

NEWS GROUP BROWSER - The end to Netnews newsgroup hell! Our sophisticated, menu
driven, newsgroup browser lets you change your Netnews subscription list as
often as you wish! Now you can sample the roughly 1000 newsgroups at your
leisure. No other service has anything like our newsgroup browser system.

MENU-DRIVEN INTERFACE FOR SERVICE PARAMETERS - No more dealing with hard to
reach and cranky system administrators. You set/alter your parameters as often
as you wish, quickly and easily, and when you want to.

STABLE EMAIL ADDRESS - Change or move your environment as much as you wish;
your email address remains constant because the InfoServ Domain hides your
changes from the rest of the world. If you are a mobile consultant, this
service feature is for you.

SUNNYVALE/SANTA CLARA DIAL-UP NUMBER - Network in the heart of California's
Silicon Valley.

NETWORK ADMINISTRATION PROVIDED - We maintain and resolve Email addressing
for you. Your machine does not have to run complex and cumbersome, network
address software (that is, you can use Domain style addresses without the
hassle of running a name server).

COST EFFICIENT DATA CONNECTIONS - An important consideration for long distance
users. All InfoServ connections are automated/off-line and use compression.
Simply put your machine in a poll loop when its convenient (such as at night),
and a short time later all your requested transfers are done.

INTEGRATED SUPPORT FOR SMALL SYSTEMS - DOS, MAC, Unix/386 are supported with
special features such as automatic, newsgroup subscription list definition. A
few button pushes is all it takes to install your subscription list; no more
manual typing of group names! Public Domain/Shareware/Commercial UUCP packages
are available. DOS users will find InfoServ's special version of Waffle a
pleasure to deal with, and a real bargain. Unix/386 users can download ready
to run, professionally documented, Netnews software.

QUALITY SERVICE AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE - InfoServ subscriptions begin at $8.95
per month. Basic rate includes UUCP connection, personal Email, and more Netnews
than you can possibly read.

DIAL (408) 243-2102 or 243-2104 - Type `begin' at the prompt and browse the
features; then subscribe on-line! No paper forms to fill out!
(Modem support: 24/MNP5/V.42,96V.32,96/19.2//PEP, 8 bit, 1 st, No parity, 24hrs)
