(fwd) To: flesh (Flesh) Date: Fri, 4 Feb 1994 01:59:44 -0800 (PST) X-Mailer: ELM [version 2.4 PL23] Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Length: 687 Status: OR Here's the thing to fix your Windows bugs. Do it from DOS, edit the text file c:\windows\system.ini, with whatever. Look for the text beginning with: [386Enh] MaxBPs=768 ; Or if we still have problems... ; MaxBPs=1177 The first line is the fix; the next two are comments (ignored by Windows because they begin with ; ). Reboot and restart windows. If it does it occasionally, then change the 768 to 1177... Or better yet, comment-out the line with 768 (insert a ; ) and delete the ; from the 1177 line... that way you preserve the two hard-won choices... and remember what you tried last time... -- Tom Jennings -- tomj@wps.com -- World Power Systems -- San Francisco, Calif.
