You really want to have compression, using compression helps performance quite a bit. PHONE LINES You, the customer, are responsible for the cost of a 24 hour a day phone call to the closest TLG site. It's best if you have flat-rate residential service, and the TLG access number is within your local calling area; in this case you pay only your monthly flat rate. For business-rate (measured rate) users, you will be charged $0.01 for each minute you are connected, which works out to $432 per month, which makes this not practical for most users.
